Can I track multiple domains or subdomains in one Project?

CUX does not support tracking multiple unique domains within a single Project. However, if your website includes subdomains (e.g. www.example.com and portal.example.com), you can choose whether to track them within the same Project or in separate ones:

  1. Tracking a domain and its subdomain within one Project may be useful if user flows between them are interconnected.
  2. Example: Your main website is shop.com, but users complete their purchases on checkout.shop.com. In this case, tracking both the domain and the subdomain within one Project is recommended to gain a complete view of the purchase process. To set this up, simply enter your main domain in the required field and implement the same Project tracking snippet on both the domain and the subdomain. Creating separate Projects for the domain and subdomain is recommended when user journeys on each are independent. Example: A university website uses university.edu for general information and recruitment, while research.university.edu hosts academic publications and research databases. Since visitors engage with these sections for different purposes, it makes sense to analyze them separately. In this case, set up two separate Projects - one for the main domain and one for the subdomain - and implement each Project’s tracking snippet accordingly.
